Rupee Closes in Red Against All Popular Currencies As Momentum Drops

After starting trading at 280 in the interbank market today, the Pakistani rupee (PKR) ended its two-day winning streak against the US dollar (USD) by closing in red.
The interbank rate spent the majority of the day at 280–281/$ on a day-on-day (DoD) basis before closing at 280. Today, open market rates at several currency counters stayed between 281-282.
It closed in red against the greenback after being bearish all day. During today’s session, it recorded losses in relation to every other major currency.
After losing 13 paisas, the PKR dropped by 0.05 percent DoD and ended the day at 280.6 versus the US dollar. The PKR has lost 0.81 percent against the US dollar so far this fiscal year (FYTD). Different currencies In today’s interbank market, the PKR was down against every other major currency.
It lost three paisas against the UAE Dirham (AED) and five paisas against the Saudi Riyal (SAR). Meanwhile, it lost Rs. 1 against the Canadian Dollar (CAD). The rupee lost Rs. 3.32 against the Australian Dollar (AUD) in today’s interbank currency market.
