Punjab University Announces Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs

The University of the Punjab has announced that all candidates wishing to enroll in undergraduate programs for the 2025-26 academic year must take the PU Admission Test, which is scheduled for June 15, 2025 (Sunday).
Eligible applicants include those who have completed or are awaiting results for their Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent qualification.
The admission test will consist of seven categories:
- Pre-Engineering (PU-E)
- Pre-Medical (PU-M)
- Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (PU-AHS)
- ICS with Physics Combination (PU-CSP)
- ICS with Statistics Combination (PU-CSS)
- General Science (PU-GS)
- Commerce (PU-COM)
According to the university, the admission test will account for 25% of the total merit calculation. Officials have clarified that results from last year’s test will not be accepted for new admissions.
The test will be conducted in major cities throughout Pakistan. Registration can be completed at http://admissiontest.pu.edu.pk. The non-refundable fee for the test is Rs. 2500, payable via HBL, UBL, or mobile banking (1Bill). Candidates must upload proof of payment during registration.
Certain programs have additional requirements:
- Engineering applicants may submit scores from the PU Admission Test, ECAT (UET), or SAT.
- For LLB admissions, both LAT and the PU Admission Test are required.
- Art and Design applicants must also pass a practical test after qualifying the PU Admission Test.
The last date to register online is May 26, 2025.
