Inter Exams Delayed in Entire Province

Just one day before the intermediate exams were supposed to start, the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE) announced that they would be delayed by three weeks due to unforeseen circumstances.

The head of the board said in a statement that the tests had been postponed till further notice. Media sites asserted, however, that people with knowledge of the matter disclosed that the decision was brought about by a teacher-announced boycott that caused chaos in the exam arrangements.

The board is facing significant difficulties as a result of the instructors’ reluctance to carry out their examination responsibilities, and there is no fast remedy in sight.

The board chairman’s absence and the examination rooms, which are now being used for matriculation tests that will run through May 2, have been blamed for the delay.

According to sources cited in the allegations, no information has been sent out about extra marks, and permission of roughly 300 exam centers is still waiting. Administrative constraints have also caused delays in tabulation work, and the review of more than 27,000 forms is still not complete.

Since no definitive answer has been provided, students in both provinces are left in a state of uncertainty while they prepare for exams.
