Junior FBR Staff to Go on Nationwide Protest Tomorrow Against Special Perks for Senior Officers

ProPakistani was informed by Revenue Division sources that officials from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will protest the board’s policies across the country tomorrow.
The recently disclosed bonuses purportedly provided to FBR officers in Grades 17 and up are the reason for the scheduled rally. According to sources, initiatives like the establishment of a Common Pool Fund (CPF) for officers in these higher grades and the availability of rental homes will be the specific targets of the protest.
The sources claim that FBR officials in Grades 17 and lower have not received any such benefits, which has caused dissatisfaction and the determination to demonstrate.
FBR officials in Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) around the country will participate in rallies and observe a pen-down strike as part of this action, the sources added.
