In Rawalpindi, the All Pakistan Private Schools Association has declared that all private schools will be closed on Saturday in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in favor of a statewide strike.
“The strike serves as a symbolic expression of solidarity with Palestinians who are confronting Israeli aggression,” stated Association President Abrar Khan in a statement released on Friday.
He declared, “To join the national voice against the ongoing oppression in Gaza, our schools will remain closed for one day.”
Furthermore, business groups in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have expressed their support for the strike.
The Central Traders Association of Rawalpindi is among the major trade unions that have announced a complete market shutdown on Saturday.
A halt in operations has been announced by goods transport unions, who have also joined the demand.
