New Dates Announced for Postponed Inter Exams

An official announcement made on Saturday revealed that the exams, initially scheduled to start on April 28, will now commence on May 5, 2025.
The delay is primarily due to the ongoing process of awarding grace marks to first-year students from the 2024 intermediate examinations, as well as the continued use of various test centers for the matriculation examinations in Karachi, which started on April 8 and will end on May 8.
The updated schedule, according to officials, attempts to guarantee a seamless exam procedure and the availability of centers for every student. In addition to advising students and their parents to continue preparing in accordance with the revised dates, BIEK promised that a new schedule will be released shortly.
In the meantime, the legislative committee of the Sindh Assembly voted to provide first-year students who did not pass their examinations grace marks. This comes after a report revealed that the board’s exam procedure was unfair.
To assist students who did well in matric but failed in intermediate, Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah announced that pupils will receive 15% grace marks in mathematics and physics and 20% in chemistry.
