Pakistan Studies Center Opened at Top Chinese University

The Pakistan Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, officially inaugurated the Center for Pakistan Studies at Shenzhen University today, in the presence of the university’s president, Mao Junfa, along with faculty and students.
With an emphasis on expanding mutual understanding via research, discussion, and educational exchanges—particularly in the areas of new and emerging technologies—the Center represents a new path for academic interaction between China and Pakistan.
In his remarks, Ambassador Hashmi expressed gratitude to the university administration for their unwavering support in making this goal a reality.
The Ambassador pointed out that Shenzhen, which is well-known across the world for its innovation and reform, was a suitable location for this kind of project.
He emphasized the significance of academic settings in fostering lasting human connections.
He also talked about how he visited Shenzhen University a year ago and was pleased with the Center’s opening as a concrete result of that encounter.
The Center is intended to serve as a focal point for advancing B2B, student involvement, cooperative research, and studies with a Pakistani focus. Shenzhen University provides a solid basis for the Center’s success with its vibrant academic environment and global perspective.
Ambassador Hashmi met with the president of Shenzhen University prior to the inauguration to talk about how the new center may be used for mutually beneficial academic, research, and entrepreneurial endeavors.
