Punjab Cancels Licences of 1600 Partner Schools

According to a report by 24NewsHD TV station on Wednesday, the Punjab Education Initiative Management Authority (PEIMA) has withdrawn the licenses of over 1,600 partner schools, citing recently imposed requirements.

According to sources, NGOs and private partners received a sizable portion of these permits.

PEIMA is now accepting new operations for there-contracting of these seminaries, with a deadline of May 10. also, a 10,000 rupee operation figure is demanded.

Speaking on the subject, Provincial Convener of PEIMA School Licensees Sadaqat Hussain Khan Lodhi voiced serious concerns, declaring that any school distribution based on politics rather than merit would be intolerable.
He emphasized that under a three-year contract, licensees spent millions of rupees to open the schools. He went on to say that it is unfair to partner schools to tighten terms at the conclusion of the contract time and to terminate licenses without giving them any thought.

In order to offer partner schools an equal chance, Lodhi called on PEIMA to reconsider and overturn the ruling and insist that the licenses be reinstated.

Additionally, he warned that license holders would have no choice but to demonstrate if the requests were not fulfilled.
