110,000 computers will be distributed as part of the Chief Minister’s Laptop Program 2024–2025, according to the Punjabi government.

There is a crucial requirement, though: students must finish biometric verification at approved NADRA e-Sahulat Centers.

The program aims to assist qualified students attending public universities, colleges, and medical institutions across the province, according to an official announcement from the Directorate of Public Instructions (Colleges), Punjab.

In the initial phase of the program, around 7,000 students from selected colleges will receive their laptops at a special event scheduled for April 30, 2025.The Higher Education Department has partnered with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to use biometric thumb verification in order to increase transparency.

The Higher Education Department will pay for all verification expenses, and NADRA will provide the required paperwork to be reimbursed. To be eligible for the laptop distribution event, institutions must plan ahead and make sure that students finish the verification procedure on time.
